LEVELS OF COMPETITION （Based on 2026 School Grade）

(1) Middle Primary – Grade 3 & 4

(2) Upper primary—Grade 5 & 6

(3) Junior Secondary—Grade 7 & 8

• School Competition: Paper-based competition
• Individual Competition: Online competition

📅 Competition Dates:

• School Competition: 29/1/2026 – 31/1/2026 (Choose one day)
• Individual Competition: 31st January 2026 (Saturday)

🏫 Venue: All Participating Schools (全国参赛学校)

💰 Registration Fees:

• School Competition: RM 58 per student (5% discount)
• (Minimum 6 pax of participants)



• Individual Competition: RM 78 per student (5% discount)

FORMAT

Participants will be required to answer 25 questions in 75 minutes .

There will be 20 multiple choice questions and 5 ‘fill in the blanks’ questions ( Answers will be whole numbers from 0 to 999)

AWARDS

Certificate + Medal

The award scheme is as follows:

 High Distinction - Student whose score is above 95 percentile

 Distinction -Student whose score is above 85 and below 95 percentile

 Credit - Student whose score is above 50 and below 85 percentile

 Participation - Student whose score is below the 50 percentile

SPECIAL REWARDS

High Distinction and Distinction award winners will have the opportunity to represent Malaysia in the second round of the competition. Registration for the second round is free. Also, top scorers are eligible to attend The International Mathematics Summer Camp(IMSC) and International Mathematics Competition (IMC). The meals and accommodations will be sponsored by IMAS Executive Council.
